LUBI seminar series - Ninoslav Pandiloski: Discovering the epigenome using CUT&RUN sequencing
Presentation:
My name is Ninoslav Pandiloski and I am a PhD student working at the labs of Molecular Neurogenetics and Epigenetics and Chromatin Dynamics, where we investigate how transposable elements (TEs) influence human brain evolution, neurodegenerative diseases, brain tumours and aging. In my projects, I focus on understanding how TEs are epigenetically regulated in neural stem cells and what is the consequence of their regulators' absence or mutation. To achieve this, we employ CUT&RUN sequencing to explore the epigenetic changes and how that affects the transcriptome. At this seminar, I will talk about the basics of CUT&RUN, how it compares to other epigenetic profiling methodologies and how to analyse and visualize the data.
